Athabasca University will be pleased to provide ceremonial regalia for your use if required. Once you have responded online, a gown and hood will be ordered and reserved for you in the Gowning Room. Academic regalia will be available between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on the date(s) of your reservation and must be returned after the ceremony.
On Convocation day, please check in at the lobby of the Athabasca Regional Multiplex before 10 a.m. Convocation volunteers will be there to answer any questions you may have, to provide you with a name tag, to assist you with your belongings and to provide any other help you may need.
During each day of Convocation, Athabasca University will serve a continental breakfast and refreshments to all guests from 9 to 11 a.m. The Athabasca University Students Union and Athabasca University Graduate Students Association buffet luncheon, open to all Convocation participants and guests, will follow each day’s ceremony.
Please dress comfortably for the ceremony and the weather. Any combination of suit, blazer, dress pants, turtleneck or shirt and tie for men and suit, dress, pants, skirt or blouse for women is acceptable.
During your visit, we encourage you to explore the university and view the artwork and displays. Self-guided tour brochures will be available at the AU information desk.
